Today’s workout left me crippled. It was by far one of the hardest training sessions I’ve ever had. I’ve realized I’ve been underestimating my strength lately out of fear. So today i pushed myself as hard as possible and increased my weights on both squats and leg press. I hit numbers that I’ve never hit before. This new training program I’m on is seriously forcing me to get uncomfortable. After a million and one squats and leg press my boyfriend had me try out a killer finisher that left my legs swollen lol. Swipe to see!
Details: 20 ski squats on the hack squat machine and immediately do 10 leg extensions and another 10-20 with a partner pushing on the eccentric part. Repeat 3 times. My face says it all lol. If you try this out, let me know how it goes! I wish your legs good luck 😮

• 2 slices of bread 🍞 (the drier the better, I took out them last night so they got very dry by this morning);
• 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds; • 200ml plant based milk 🥛;
• cinnamon;
• toppings!

In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together (not the bread) and let it sit in the fridge for 10-20min so that the seeds can activate. Dip your bread slices into the mixture and cook on a medium low heat for 2 min each side until golden brown. Top them and enjoy!😉

I sliced the bread so that I could get 4 slices. I layered them with some fig marmalade and fresh raspberries in between. I mixed the leftover milk with 15g chocolate protein powder and 1 Tbsp chocolate PB2 and spread the mixture on top of the stack. Sprinkled some crushed hazelnuts and one Tbsp of @waldenfarmsinternational walnut maple syrup!!🤤🤤

If you're like me and one glute is bigger than the other you neeeed to try these exercises. Because of my muscular imbalance I've been doing lots on unilateral work to try and fix it. 1. Bent leg cable kickbacks. I feel this variation more in my upper glute. 2. Straight leg cable kickbacks- I feel these in my glute-hamstring tie in which is why I loveeee them. 3. Single leg hack squat. It's like a perfect mix of a single leg squat and a single leg goodmorning. (It's challenging af)

Here are some answers to the most commonly asked questions via DM and comments!


Q: What are macros?
A: Foods can be broken down into carbs, fat, and protein. By tracking them instead of just calories, you can make sure you’re getting the right amount of each into your day. Also, flexible dieting allows you to still eat some of your fave foods 🍫 and not be restricted as long as you stay within your target macros!


Q: Once you figure out your target macros, how does that translate into what food you eat?

A: Each of the foods you eat can be broken down into macros (carbs, fat, and protein). For example even something as simple as broccoli has carbs, fat, and protein. I use the free myfitnesspal app, where you can search for foods to find out the macro breakdown. I’m currently working on a part 2 video which will show you how I create my meal plans. Stay tuned for that in the next week or so!


Q: Doesn’t melprepping take a lot of time?

A: It may seem like it, but a few hours on a Sunday ends up saving a lot of time in the long run during the busy work week.


Q: Does your food stay fresh for a whole week?

A: I try to prep things that reheat well. For example pasta or baked chicken can last all week in the fridge. For things like scrambled eggs, I often wake up a little bit earlier in the morning to make them fresh and eat them on the go on the way to work!

I’m very glad it’s the weekend as it’s been a really busy week. Although I am doing some work this weekend (client update and a freelance writing project), I’m going try to make some time to relax as well. 😌

Something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently is the concept of failure. Within the fitness industry, failure is often used to refer to training in the gym but what I’m referring to hear is about failing in reaching fitness goals. 💪

Failure is unfortunately inevitable. I know the term might seem negative but I don’t think it has to be. A phrase I’ve come across recent is ‘failing forward’, which refers to using failure as an opportunity to learn and apply those lessons going forwards. 🤓
#
Dealing with failure is really hard. It’s uncomfortable, frustrating, upsetting and can make us feel like we are a failure. Learning to accept failure and move on from it in a positive way has been one of the hardest but most beneficial things I’ve ever done. I still struggle with a fear a failure sometimes, I naturally have a lot of self-doubt but I don’t let that stop me from trying something to help reach a goal. I know that even if I don’t succeed, the experience will still be valuable, even if it’s hard to believe at the time. It also means that I appreciate success even more because it hasn’t come easily. 😊

Thick, dense, moist (hate that word), chilled cake sent from above🙌🏼slathered with homemade warm, not too warm though, fudge sauce. Partnered with Hagen Daz ice cream and homemade whipped cream😍😍😍This side is MINE! My husband gets the side with whipped cream. When the dessert arrives my husband doesn't know what to do.....he just let's me make the first move. One wrong bite from either side could end up toppling it over! The goal is to get ice cream and cake in every bite, while keeping it upright! Navigating my way through my current place and this current body. It’s not in a devastating place but softer than I normally am. In this space, I’ve been taking on the journey of delving deeper into self-love. I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and feel beautiful. Truly feel beautiful. Not because of a size or because what my body looks like because I love who I see looking back at me. So when on the journey of working on self, don’t forget to exercise the strength of loving thyself. Change starts in the head and in the heart FIRST. Love yourself enough to treat yourself the best.

sooo I didn’t film this very well, but here’s an awesome booty workout for you ladies (and men too!). I like to stick to classic exercises, in my opinion they’re the best for building your glutes!
At least they have been for me. I keep making the mistake of filming at the end of my workouts so excuse my legs shaking, my legs were 💀☠️ by the end of my workout! (Vids are sped up)

Tonight after work I prepped and froze all of the above. Gonna be a heck of a long weekend. By next Friday I'll have worked 13 days straight. Definitely looking forward to a 3 day weekend after that though.

Just finished a jam packed workout, now waiting for the baes flight to land. Haven't eaten for 11hrs cause I woke up about 3hrs ago. These graveyard shifts haven't killed me yet, but I don't have plans for it to deteriorate me. Getting enough sleep 😴 and getting your exercise in helps lots. In case you haven't figured that out 😉

Running off of 3 hrs of sleep & this is the first time I've changed my clothes in over 24 hrs but 👏🏻here👏🏻we👏🏻are gettin a lil 🍑 pump in. Honestly I haven't been to the gym in a little bit because I'm a procrastinator lmao and gotta grind in school, but here's some tips if you can't make it to the gym
1) you are more than your physical appearance
2) I promise you if you don't hit the gym you will survive. If it's 1 day or even if it's a month. I understand how self hate thoughts start creeping in when you don't workout for a while, but life happens... there are MUCH worse things then maybe losing 1/18 centimeter off your ass.
3) imagine if you could never workout again.. what would bring you internal happiness & make you feel good about yourself.
