Went into the gym to bench today and it just wasn't happening. I failed 185 which I hit for a set of two just last week. I got pissed and just threw my headphones in and started to deadlift instead, who would have thought I would set a PR at 465 today. Sometimes you just gotta put the phone away, blast the music, and get in the right mind to make it happen. Unfortunately didn't get video of the PR so here's a random photo I find pretty cool. All in all today ended well but it just wasn't my day on bench today. #nevergiveup #deadlift

Went in today to get 315 but I failed both attempts. I wasn't going to leave empty handed tho, so I went for 305 which is still a pr for me. Now it's back to the grind to get this overdue 315 out the way 🤦🏽‍♂️🤙🏽 #ihatebench

Alright, it was a good weekend. I had fun. I hit my squats, and deadlifts are so freakin close! Bench can curl up and die. As always, amazing coaching by @red_brickhouse. She always knows what will make me happy with my lifts, and challenges me. Lightest body weight since I don't know... high school? I can't think back that far. BW 66.0kg
Squat 3/3 125kg, 130kg, and 135kg which also happens to be just over 2x BW (pretty excited about that.
Bench 1/3 55kg, and then I remember that I can't bench to save my life and fail 60kg twice.
Deadlift 1/3 145 (easy opener), 155kg last my balance and tipped forward, 165kg (shown)... so so close. I last my tightness when I burped near lockout! Hahaha! Can't even be mad about that. No more preworkout before deadlifts for this girl. Ammonia and caffeine it is! Throw up was pretty much the second option... and didn't really feel like making a mess and feelings by crappy. Next time.

Empty weight room means playtime. Heavy bench first trying to add more volume today by using reverse bands, then paused bench afterwards feels so much more explosive. Quickly made a one-board/two board combo block this morning to save my shoulder whilst benching which has been painful last few days. Now I'm generally incredibly bad at any pushing movements but this two board press felt okay on my shoulder and I'll actually probably keep in in for a while.

Had a rough day emotionally and physically yesterday. Struggled through my sets. Legs and head all bruised and banged up. Then my hair got tangled in my headphones. Why you like this girl? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Then one of my gyms "nicely" asked us to stop and leave. Anti powerlifting... smh So we headed to @theliftfactory where I should have been to begin with. Ahh! Tuesday was squats at 90% 2x2, and today was supposed to be 90% 2x2 on bench but we turned it into 2x1 just really working on that pause 😒 commands with coach today and him telling me I need to get angry when I bench, show some emotion, make a sound or something 😤 I'm trying but I still have to do better....this is what training is for....heavy squat and bench are done, just finishing with deadlifts 90% 2x1 by the weekend! 💪🏼 #10daysout . .
