I’m trading in my whisk for a chefs knife this weekend and playing in the savory world with a Texas Brunch POP up @thehoodparis ! On the menu: Smokey chipotle pulled pork and apple slaw on a cornbread waffle, Texas Caviar aka the ultimate Super Bowl black eyed pea dip turned brunch with guacamole and a fried egg, and but of course... a hot steaming bowl of my moms chili (with cornbread!!). Because there always has to be something sweet.... the classsic Texas Sheet Cake for dessert. 💕Rich chocolate cake with a dash of cinnamon and ancho chili glazed with a chocolate pecan icing.
