Still thinking about these yummy Egyptian baked eggs from @_common.grounds_ Wishing I was back there and missing my foodie T2T partner @officiallydelicious!
Suffering from chronic illness can be so debilitating and also really hard for people around you to understand as it’s not really something that you can ‘see’ with the naked eye. Dealing with #hashimotos then being diagnosed with #lymedisease which is pretty much affecting my entire central nervous system is not easy at all. But it’s even harder when on the outside you look “OK” but really your body is failing you, you’re in pain all the time, your mental health is greatly affected and everyday is struggle to just keep going.
At this point I’m most grateful to have friends like @anniemacens who is going through the same things understands exactly what I’m dealing with. And other amazing friends (you know who you are) who are making it their business to educate themselves on these things just so they can try and understand what I’m going through. Who are always there at the end of the phone when I’m crying and feeling like I can’t do this anymore, it’s too hard and it’s too painful 😖. 2017 has been a shit show health wise but it has also brought me closer to some AMAZING WOMEN. This sisterhood of love and support both offline and online has been nothing short of miraculous and deeply humbling. You don’t have to go through anything alone, reach out, talk about it, connect with people.
If my writing about this (highs and lows) educates just one person about these crippling illnesses then these long statuses are totally worth it!
