10K?!?! WOW. I seriously am at a loss for words at the moment. This social media milestone is so much more than a number to me. This number is visible proof of the blood, sweat, tears, and hard work that has been put into my career for the last couple of years.
When I first started an Instagram back in college I didn’t really see it as something that would help my career grow back then. Being a student athlete and kicking it with my friends was just something that I wanted to document here and there.
Fast forward about 5 years to 2 years ago…
I moved to Austin, TX after a failed engagement to pursue my creative career and really find my creative style among being a photographer and videographer.
It’s taken me almost 2 years and I think I’m finally onto something.
I am a dreamer. I am a believer. This is proof that someone, anyone, yourself included, can do WHATEVER YOU WANT in this life and it doesn’t matter what people say about it. Trust me, my entire life I’ve heard it all.
People aren’t gonna agree with your dreams, they’re going to badmouth you, they’re going to discredit you, they’re going to say you’re not working hard enough, they’re going to say to be realistic, you need to have a plan B….but deep down….they envy you.
They envy you because they are too scared to chase their dreams and feel the need to discredit yours.
The sacrifices that are made, the long nights, early mornings, little to no sleep, couch surfing, living in your office, living out of your car or a storage unit, the uncertainty, the instability…some people will never understand. And thats ok. Because YOU understand.
YOU UNDERSTAND that this is what it takes to level up in life and you’ll be damned if someone is going to waltz in and tell you that you are incapable of doing something.
10,000 individuals are following me and have been following me through my college basketball career, my fitness transformation, and now, my creative career and what I hope will carry me through the rest of my days.
I wish I could thank all of you face to face and express my gratitude to each and every one of you for helping me realize my purpose on this planet.
I am truly humbled.
