As soon as I stepped off the ferry on Arran the weather was dreadful. Dull and dark conditions with an overcast sky. I noticed the tide was coming in as I drove through Corrie. It was just the right height to capture this image of the waves breaking over the harbour wall. The locals have placed these rather fetching boat moorings on the harbour wall in the shape of sheep. Excellent focal interest when the weather is not on your side.
Sunset and distant islands. The views from Big Sand Beach are pretty amazing. In one direction you can see part of the Torridon mountain range, in another you can look straight across to the Isle of Skye. I quite like this view though - looking towards Harris. I've never been but I'd like to go. For now, I'll have to make do with gazing wistfully over The Minch at it. One day I'll get there. I'm sure of it. . . . . .
This view! 😍 Is there anything better than waking up, opening the curtains and seeing a view like this with the added bonus of a beautiful sunrise? I think not. Baosbheinn and the Torridons are looking mighty fine today. . . . . .
