Posting on my last night in South America. Emma and I have been here for 8 months, covering as much of the continent (and its surrounds) as we could. From Ushuaia and Antarctica in the south to Colombia and Cuba in the north. We've finished up with a few nights in Santiago where we started our trip.
This image is from the Tatio geyser field, 90 minutes drive from San Pedro de Atacama. We were the first ones through the gate at 6am, which gave us plenty of space to wander. In the full resolution version you can make out stars in the dawn sky.
