Anyone for Pimm’s? @theamateurmixologist is holding an event right now asking for variations of the Summer Cup/Fruit Cup/Pimm’s Cup. This drink is iconic to @Wimbledon, which is currently underway! Although Pimm’s is the most popular brand of fruit cup, this drink can also be made without it! An easy way to make a Summer Cup is to just combine 1 oz. of base spirit (usually gin, but so many substitutions can be made here), 1 oz. of dry curacao, and 1 oz. of sweet vermouth. 2 dashes of bitters (usually Angostura) are also added, before the drink is topped up with cola/soda/lemonade (and lemonade in the sense of a lime/lemon soda...7-UP). Most importantly, fruits are also added into this summery long drink. Use #SippingWimbledon to join in on the fun! 🎾
Side note. This Ambre vermouth tastes delicious. Could drink it on its own all summer long, but it also really shines in cocktails. Little bit of a lighter, fruitier take on classic sweet vermouth.
