Alligators in Everglades.
The first time I saw a wild alligator was about 12 years ago, me an my family drove through Everglades and one was lying in the grass many meters from our car.
Of course we then thought that was pretty close and stayed in the car.
Five years ago when we went back in the winter, during dry season, they were gathered by the few water spots left.
This is right below a boardwalk out in the wild and I think it was about 40 alligators that we could see. It was amazing. And it's a bit scary that you can forget how dangerous these animals are just because everyone is calm and acting like it's no big deal.
I was however very careful not to lean down too much to get my photos.
