I started 3 yrs ago when I saw a gross picture of myself 🙈. I kept thinking "Are you kidding me? Is that how I look?" I looked TERRIBLE!!! Beyond exhausted, my complexion was horrible & I looked all around unhealthy. 👎
After the initial shock was over, I thought "OH HELL NO, WE'RE CHANGING NOW!!!" 👏🙌I asked Kenny if we could could get a double jogging stroller & made a habit of waking up early & going for a walk🏃. No matter what I had going on during my day, I made a habit to go for a walk. When I felt like skipping my walks, I thought of that GROSS PICTURE🙈... that was all the motivation I needed. The walking lead to running, which lead to running in a couple of 5ks. And for the record, I am not a runner, have never been a runner. I pushed myself hard because I couldn't stand where I was but also I wanted to see if I COULD DO IT... And I did. Then I thought, if I could do this, why can't other moms do it too? 🤔
One day I saw a post on facebook & it talked about becoming an online coach- helping others, running accountability groups, working from home, etc & thought, "I have no idea what this is, but I want to be apart of it." 💯I signed up as a coach with ONLY the strong desire to help people as well as myself. I didn't have a degree or certification in fitness or nutrition, I was not at my goal weight, I did not know what "Clean eating" was, I had never completed a program from start to finish & the thought of taking BEFORE pictures scared the crap out of me. But, I was willing to get out of my comfort zone to make it happen.
After running groups, there were times when I wanted to quit the program, or lay on couch & veg out all day, but I didn't. How could I expect my challengers to do it, if I can't?🤔 Being a coach didn't just let me help others, but, it helped me stay accountable. I push MYSELF because I don't want to let them down.💯 You don't need a ton of experience, certifications, degrees ,etc (it helps but you don't need it). What you need is the desire to help people!❤️❤️❤️ If you're curious about coaching & how I've made it work, let me know. Or click on the link in my bio. **Photo taken by @darian_shantay
