Flashback to my very first comp 👙
Even though I loved the way I looked, I got soooo little in my last season!!
With just a few weeks left before I officially start my PHYSICAL PREP for WBFF, I’ve been doing the required MENTAL PREP that I feel so many people who compete unfortunately seem to forego.
What am I talking about?
❤️ I LOVE MY BODY ❤️
I learnt to love and accept it long before I start competing. I was always that skinny Asian girl in my teenage years, and then I fell in love with weightlifting and how I was able to transform my body to feel curvy and strong. 👌
So, as I did this time last year, I have to mentally prepare myself for what is coming. Accept and prepare for the fact that my body will change, my curves will reduce, and that some of the weight I’ve worked so hard to put on will drop off.
Accept and prepare that I will be challenging my body past the point of what is its comfortable body fat level.
And finally, accept and prepare the most important aspect of this mental preparation - that once it’s all done and over, I will also put bodyfat back on and come back to what is a ‘happy’ weight for me and my body. ❤️
For anyone else prepping or about to start their prep, please take some time to do some mental prep and acceptance, don’t be hard on yourself, and love your body at every stage of the process ❤️
