Some less known places give you the amazing experience, as Devidarh, still unknown to the outside world just like me untill my senior told me. It is heaven on Earth!
Devidarh is a small village in the Jauni valley above Chailchowk at a distance of 17 KM and it is about 56 KM from Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh .
It is a Green Tourist place at the height of 7800 feet from sea level.
Devidarh is a major treckking point for Shikari Mata & Dev Kamrunag. Every year thausands of nature lovers come here to spend weekends and trek. A temple is situated here which is surrounded by thick forest of deodar, and there is also a sloppy ground similar to that of Khajiyaar (famous tourist destination in Chamba Himachal) so it can be called mini – Khajiyaar. The average height of this place is 2421m from sea level.
My #trek route to this place with stopovers were is #Delhi-#Mandi – #Ner chowk – #Dadaur (diversion from main NH toward Baggi) – #Baggi – Chail Chowk (diversion at Ganeshchowk toward Janjahli) – #Kot (diversion from Janjahli road) – #Shalla – #Tunna – #Jachh – #Jahal – #Devidarh.
What to do ???? If you are a devotee of God or an admirer of natural ladscape than visit the temple, spend some time in the nature lawn outside the small temple. For my group we, we visited some villages nearby to see the tradition and lifestyle of local people and know more about #Himachal’s culture.
Best time to visit is in Summers, but avoid rainfall as that might be a hindrance for people who would trek to Shikari Devi from there. #himachaltrip #himachaldiaries #mandi #devidarh_hills #devidarh #myshoeboxofphotographs #_soi #igers #iclick #iphone7plus #eveningtroll #indiaphotoproject #indiapictures #instahimachal #himachalpradesh #himachaltourism
