For the past year and half I have been working my my squat and deadlift form. When I would come up I would shift my weight to my right leg. This was affecting my performance and was also really hurting my score when I would be judged at competitions. This sport is all about symmetry and with me shifting my weight I was actually working one GLUTE/HAMSTRING more. When I would turn around and do my back pose it was very obvious that one glute hamstring tie in was more developed!!!!
Well when I went to my trainer last week he immediately noticed it and said that I might not be aligned properly.
Today I went to my chiropractor. I explained to him what my problem was and he took a quick look at me. Within a couple seconds he could tell that my pelvis was rotated and one leg was about a half a inch longer then the other!!!!! He did some quick adjustments and taught me how to properly stretch to help with this problem. Sorry I haven't been posting a lot. I've been busy with buying and remodeling a house. There was also several weeks I had to go through physical therapy for a spinal injury I have.

Here is my rogue fitness squat rack, bumper set, and in the corner you'll see the bowflex adjustable dumbbells.
I still want to powerlift, but per doctors orders I have to start light (135lbs 😂 is the heaviest my doc wants me to lift at any rep). I'll be posting more with remodeling, carpentry, and home gym pics soon. (Give me a couple weeks to actually move and settle in) much love.

P.S. I plan on installing a fitness pole in the room, pole dancing videos to come.

Two weeks ago I griiiiiinded 275 x 2. I looked like a Harlem shake video. Last week I struggled with 275 x 5. Here I crush 315 x 5. I absolutely love the adversity powerlifting has given me. I haven't touched this weight in damn near two years. After this I got 335 x 5. Four Hundo is droppin soon.

After a couple of hours of coaching (a little) and loitering (for the most part), and trying out idly a few odd lifts (barbell bridge presses, Bradford presses and Gironda waves), I jumped in @qualia_1 squat session.
Last time I had squated was August 29 (40kg), and last "heavy" squat was 2*105 on July 7. Today, I managed 3@100kg (on video), then 1@110 and 1@115. I almost missed the last single, but I saved it mid-way, and *not* by good-morning it (got the knees back under, and then the back/traps, and powered it up). Overall, I was straighter and deeper than I used to.
Not bad considering that 2 months ago, I could barely walk. I'm happy as a kid.

Physio today - a good few imbalances to work on, but a clear path to head down.

big throwback to the Athens half-marathon 2015, before the race. difficult times for me... It was when I got my severe injury on my knee... The diagnosis? Teared inner meniscus on my right knee... The next 7 months that followed where really hard, physically and mentally... Thankfully, I can now say with much positivity and assurance that my knee is healed! Yes, healed! I was thinking of recording a video on youtube regarding the steps and tools that I followed and used during this period to improve and heal my knee. It's been a long time since I haven't woken up and been in considerable pain all day. Sure, I still have some aches but nothing like at the beginning of the year where I had to pull myself up a flight of stairs or slide down on my butt because my knee was just that incapable of handling my weight.
So it's a pretty nervous day getting under weight I've never even considered lifting before for 1rm testing. Got 405, which was the absolute least I wanted to achieve. And a gym best of 60lbs. Hit 425 after this. And the final clip is 455. Yes, it's a tad high. I get it. But still. It's 110lbs better than last week and 130lbs better than my best before I started with the revolving knee injuries two years ago. I think I'll be on my high horse for awhile. Plus I get to say my squat doesn't completely blow.
Oh yea. Enjoy the old school rap. Had to write over me dying and the annoying weight clanking in the background. Cheers!

Status update: Yesterday morning I had to match feet going up and down stairs, could not bend my knee past 70 deg, could not fully straighten my knee, and could not use my right leg to stand up from sitting. Today I can squat past parallel (not yet full depth), ascend/descend stairs normally, and easily stand up and sit down. Knee flexion near 120 deg.
