This week is Mental Health Week. ☀️☀️☀️ More specifically today is World Mental Health day. Did you know 1 in 5 Australians will develop a mental illness in a single year? At least nearly half of all Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.
Exercise can help improve mental health and wellbeing in a number of ways, including: - One hour of exercise a week can protect against depression - Regular exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression - Can help you sleep better and help regulate mood - Can improve self confidence and self esteem - Offers a chance to socialise with others - Can distract you from negative thoughts - Can increase your energy levels, attention and memory.
