Brogan is a 9 year old ballerina, gymnast, cheerleader, actress and model. She is grateful to have the opportunity to do what she loves and hopes to continue to promote diversity, inclusion and awareness. Brogan has modeled swimwear, dancewear, kids fashion and has covered several magazines. She was thrilled to be cast in a LEGOLAND commercial and as a ballerina in the short film Samiya. Most insurances require a child to be able to take steps before they will authorize a walker.
Well, that also means that child needs to be able to practice to get stronger and capable. Our Equipment Closet is there for those families in need.
We take the time to find the right walker by consulting your physical therapist or doctor. At fittings we make sure your child is safe and knows how to get the most benefit.
This service and extra time with the family is only possible by generous donors that believe in our mission and want to help these amazing kiddos. Think about sponsoring a child today.

Headed home, but time spent with precious WV warrior women still rolling around in my heart. 2 things we have to settle: 1) we know/believe are able to be a Jesus warrior in this life. 2) we understand that we won’t wing or wish ourselves into one. It’s too tough out there for bandaids over the real heart issues and crutches we don’t need but get used to leaning on. Live in the book of Ephesians, I and II Timothy for awhile. Read warrior speech, get warrior strategy from the original warrior, Paul. Preparation is not the calculation of man but the genius of God. Grateful. #warriorboots #Iamable #Iamready #jesusstrong

"First I'll introduce myself, then I'll tell you about me. My name is Cassidy. I'm 17 and I have Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus, scoliosis, Chiari II malformation. I play electric guitar in a band with a music school called School Of Rock, ride horses (both for therapy and fun), and swim, among a tonne of other things. One of my biggest passions is music, hence the band. I go to a tonne of concerts and even played on my own! Another passion is horses. I even have my own. I've always been active and independent. I don't consider myself 'disabled' in that sense, but of course I have my challenges. It's inevitable. Despite that, I'm your average teenager who is in her senior year of high school. I'm not afraid of taking chances and going outside my comfort zone to do something fun, although 3 years ago I wouldn't have been able to say that. Things really started changing when I started playing in the band. I've made a bunch of friends, which was always hard for me to do. And they all help me immensely! I hope that by me living a normal life and not letting my disability stop me, I can show people that if you just do what you want to do, you can do anything! Don't be afraid to go outside the box. That goes to other people with Spina Bifida as well, after all, we don't all fit in a box - that's why it's called a "snowflake defect". ❤️✨ @cassrocksguitar #enableawareness #spinabifidaawareness #beyourself

Where is your focus? Is it on obtaining the glutes, home, job of some celebrity, friend, neighbor, etc.? Or is it on becoming the best possible YOU?

as part of my #balancedlifeexperiment I would like to plan a #solotrip I have #travelled alone but only within US and Canada. I went to #Paris for my 30th bday. Maybe once the dust settles on some personal challenges I can start planning a trip back. I was always so scared to travel alone, I don’t want to be scared anymore and this whole #abalancedlifeexperiment is supposed to help me #facemyfears so this is something I must start planning. #able #IAMable #paris #stockholm #wanderlust

Fall break has started and I couldn’t be any happier! It’s a great time to get things together, start over and recollect things before we go back on Monday🙌🏻

We are getting ready to go on a little road trip back to Seattle to visit some family. In preparation Little Mister and I thought we might make some treats for our long drives, as well as for our friend who is taking care of our doggy whilst we are gone. Banana oat muffins won the vote. Bonus points they are gluten free, and make a great preworkout snack. We made a double batch so the pictures so that, but the recipe is for a single!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 medium ripe bananas (1 cup mashed)
2 large eggs
2 cups rolled oats (certified gluten free in necessary)
1/8 cup local honey
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
OPTIONAL
1/2 cup chocolate chips, mini or regular

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 375F and prepare a muffin pan by spraying the cavities with cooking spray or lining them with paper liners.
Set aside.

2. Add all the dry ingredients to a blender or food processor and process on high until the oats are broken down
3. Add eggs, yogurt, and honey blend until smooth. Add the bananas and mix until the batter is smooth and creamy.
4. If you choose to add them, stir in chocolate chips by hand.

5. Pour batter into prepared muffin pan, filling each cavity until it is about 3/4 full.
Optional: sprinkle a few chocolate chips over the top of each muffin.

6. Bake for 15-20 minutes (8-10 for mini muffins), until the tops of your muffins are set and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
7. Allow muffins to cool in pan for ~10 minutes before removing. Store in an air-tight container for up to a week

"Sienna was born 2 weeks early on November 3rd, 2015. She weighed 6lbs 3 ounces and was 18 inches long. She was in the NICU for 1 month, which was the hardest month of our lives. I/we had a prenatal diagnosis starting at week 13. The results came back there was a 1/5 chance that our sweet little girl would have Down Syndrome. Of course knowing there are false positives we decided to do further blood work to make sure. When we got the blood work back, the results stated there was a 99% chance Sienna would have Down Syndrome; therefore we knew we had to accept the reality and prepare for our future. Of course, we were devastated at first, mostly for the unknown; especially since she is our first child, but we knew we would love Sienna no matter what. We took the time to grieve the baby who once thought we were having and then decided it was time to live in acceptance and anticipate her arrival. Fast forward almost TWO years and we have our sweet, sassy, feisty little girl who we wouldn't trade for the world. Sienna's smile is so infectious, and her sweet but also feisty demeanor is what makes Sienna her own person. She is on her own time line as far as milestones go, so we TRY to take it day by day. We have learned (and still working on) how imperative it is to remain patient and live each day in the moment. In the short 2 years Sienna has been here, we have learned so much and look forward to many more milestones and memories with her." 💙💛✨ @lisa_novelli #enableawareness #downsyndromeawareness #LIFEisbetterwithyou
