Amina became the head of her household two weeks ago. In the chaos of fleeing Myanmar, Amina was separated from her husband and relatives. She now must support her seven children on her own. Recently, she brought her youngest son to a BRAC clinic after his fever lasted for nearly a week.
“I went to the health clinic for the first time yesterday, with all of my children. The staff helped me immediately. They gave me medicine for my son. We also now have a toilet nearby. I sent my two daughters to the relief line today, which is half an hour away, and I was able to look after the other five here, knowing that they would return with food tonight.”
