To my boyfriend and best friend; Devon VanMeter who stepped up to the plate to learn how to wrap knees and coach me through out a meet. I had a brutal weight cut, total of almost 5 hours in the suana & six brutal pounds that did not want to come off. I was so bitchy, grumpy, and just not motivated. You stuck through and did not complain. 😘😘 ..

I had a total of 4 people promise me support and knowledge for this meet and then just dip out in an blink of an eye. I didn't have a 1 on 1 coach for 3-4 months of prep. 1 coach completely ghosted me and a nutrition coach not give a fuck about my goals. I would be hard pressed not to say that this meet was for me. And ONLY ME. NO ONE ELSE. I do want to thank @paul_ruccis_gym for undoubtedly improving my lifts and prepping me the last 3 months before the meet. Amazing programming and coaching.

Putting in this work !! Weighing in at 197 right now been working on my nutrition for almost two months. With the help of @ian_the_rhino_ and @hybridperformancemethod getting leaner while keeping the strength up and not feeling deprived of the food I love. Got a mini meet in about a month so gonna throw some lower rep ranges into my training. Being well rounded as a strength athlete is never going to hurt you. Having a moderate base of conditioning, strength in extreme ranges of motion, exceptional body awareness, and being proficient in things outside your sport of choice are only going to contribute towards your performance on the platform, longevity in the sport, and overall health in the long run.

Great WOD @hybridperformancemethod. Warmed up sitting in the pocket @ 225lb & then did 3sets of 5@ 250lb, 3sets of 10reps @260lb which is 65% 1RM accessory work. Will do 45 minute low impact @onepeloton this evening. Lifting translates to power with endurance. You just have to load properly. Endurance builds the engine for lifting. Started a new program this week, just in time for some crazy Thanksgiving travel 🦃 •
• Low bar squat 3x6 at 145lbs
• Bench press 3x3 at 95lbs, 2x6 at 85lbs
• Chest flies 2x12
• Assisted dips 2x8

That was my weight after training, though I think I ate heavy that day...I think 😅, I'm thinking I can lose a good 5 - 8kg to compete, hoping that will put me in a more sensible weight class for my size 😭 there are some monsters out there 😱... Comeback 2019
