LEARN FROM EXPERIENCE Just wanted to share this very clever exhibit I saw at the Design Museum in London earlier this year.
The museum, together with the Creative Review, challenged advertising agencies to use their creative power to reposition ageing in a positive way. In their exhibit, Karmarama created a bookcase of books all written by the same imaginary author (Sylvia Clark) to represent the growing library of wisdom that we all carry around and build up as we travel through life.
I love the concept, and spent ages reading all the book titles of Sylvia’s life experience - some were thought provoking… Heartbreak Volumes 1 and 2, How to Say Sorry, Dicing with Debt. Others really amused me… Mistakes that are Fun to Make, Dealing with Arseholes, Failing in Style, Stuff that is Better Left Unsaid. It really made me smile… and think!
Hmmmm what book titles would be in my experience bookcase? And what would you include in yours? ;)
