I glassed him at first light along with 8 other bucks. I had the safety off, finger on trigger, about to lay the smack down on another four point. He was a younger buck and not as wide. I decided to take another look at the bucks he was with and found this old warrior. At 614 yards in low light I wasn’t able to get a great look at him. I knew he was old and had a good frame. His giant body and grey square face was enough. I laid down and built a rest out of rocks for my gun. It was a steep uphill shot and I knew I had to make it count. I dialed to six hundred and made sure my crosshairs were froze on his vitals. I made the shot and instantly heard him rolling down the steep rocky face. There are so many emotions that run though your body as you go through #theexperience....I am hooked!!
