So I went to Texas to show this three year old (Wow Factor aka Wonder), in the Texas Super Series Three Year Old Freestyle (as well as work at the home farm with the horses coming to Florida for season). We hauled in the night before, no ear plugs, no more than a brief jog on the lunge, no medications, just a hack in the indoor and then a quick hop over the show jumps literally ten minutes before her class....and she won. She is amazing, and I am so lucky to have the ride on her and that her breeder trusts me to show such a great horse. We only met three days prior to hauling in and I cannot get over her bravery and natural quiet demeanor. I know broke and going horses who don’t handle being hauled in as well she she managed the situation. Super grateful to her, her owner/breeder, barn managers at her home barn, my wife for holding down the fort in Florida, and, dare I say, thankful that my body held up and allowed me to get back into a win picture 😍. #attitudeofgrattitude #goodbreeding #hunter #babyhorse #hunterbreeding #younghorseseries #texas #winterinthesouth #redhead #bewaretheredmare #winnerwinnerchickendinner #exceptiamavegetarian#sheisperfect #mare #bigred #horsestagram #horsesofinsta #horsesofinstagram #horseshow #showhorse #hackwinner #showjumper #showjumping #horsetrainer #horsetraining #hunterridersofinstagram The way the class is run: we had six minutes total in the ring to show off our three year olds suitably for the hunter or jumper ring. There were four singles, one trot in one stride, and two lines. We made up our own course that would best suit our horses strong points. I know you can’t link directly from Instagram, but I posted our clip to Facebook and will put my link in the comments of y’all are interested in seeing fancypantsprincesspony in action.
