Gellert - a mountain in height of 235 meters in Budapest. The mountain was named after Gerard of Hungary - a Catholic saint, killed by pagans. At its top is the citadel, from which a view of both sides of the Danube opens. The citadel was built after the Hungarian Uprising of 1848-49 by the ruling Habsburg dynasty for the bombardment of both Buda and Pest in the event of a future uprising.
