Ryan Villiers wanted to do something to honour the victims of the Humboldt Broncos, but couldn't help with a monetary donation.
So he did this.
The Alberta woodcarver, like so many across the globe, was touched after the tragic bus crash so he got together his carving tools and made a life-size sculpture to commemorate the victims and show support for the families.
Villiers carved the wood into a sculpture of a hockey player with angel wings, with help from his friend Geoff Stewart.
“This was something from the bottom of my heart that I wanted to materialize and say, ‘Here, we support you.’" -
