This might be the last of the porridge bowls for a while now that it's warming up...I've been a bit slow to let them go this year, but am looking forward to whipping up some yummy overnight oat combos in their place😍
This lot was cooked in 1/2 water, 1/2 almond milk & topped with pumpkin seeds, paw paw, crunchy peanut butter, frozen berries, sultanas, pumpkin seeds & a few cheeky dark choc chips💫
I've spoken about my love for oats here before...a great complex carb & a good source of dietary fiber including beta-glucan for digestive & cholesterol support, they are so versatile & I love how easily they can be incorporated into our days ie; porridge, overnight oats, muesli, cookies, smoothies, crumbles...👍🏻😊
Also, for fellow breastfeeding Mumma's out there, remember that we need more kilojoules, fluids & nutrients & adequate intakes of things like protein to nourish & help make that amazing milk...as a starting point, I personally look to have a glass of water each time I breastfeed & around meals & focus on nourishing snacks, macro balanced meals & eating to satiety as often as is needed💧
