#HSV30Years: our first facility was in Notting Hill from 1987 until December 1994.

Starting with the VL Group A β€˜Walkinshaw’, in the first full year, there were 1,191 cars built, with a total of 12,426 produced (averaging 1,775 cars per annum over seven years) by the time the doors closed at that premises.

We upgraded our 9,144 square metres of floor space to Clayton's 27,270 square metres around Christmas of 1994.

#HSV30Years: we were established in 1987 as a joint venture between Holden and UK-based Tom Walkinshaw Racing – an operation owned by Formula 1 team owner and entrepreneur, the late Tom Walkinshaw. HSV opened on the outskirts of Melbourne with racing driver John Harvey (previously director of HDT) the first TWR employee appointed, to coordinate a facility and delivery of the first car (VL Group A). John Harvey was even known to conduct business from a local phone box in the early days!

These 5 blokes have been with us from the start! That's a combined 150 years of service to HSV!
