⏩ INNER FOCUS TRAINING ⏪
Recently I stopped the handstand program I've been doing for about 6 months.
The program was good but hard. In order to advance I had to do a long warm up, many drills, many sets of each drill.
At first I was super excited but at some point it started feeling like homework. It just became too heavy. 🏋🏼♀️
When we train, we sometimes forget that the most important goal is to enjoy it. If we don't, we won't be able to make it work for a long period of time.
Wether you're trying in order to get a skill, become fit, improve, lose weight or whatever else, just remember -
YOU'VE GOT TO FIND A WAY TO LOVE IT. 💓
So now when I train, I EXPLORE, experiment, work on new things, listen to my body, my MOOD and energy.
Having a rigid training program doesn't make sense, as we feel DIFFERENT every day.
One day I'll work on endurance and FLEXIBILITY, on another I'll work on movement and STRENGTH.
I can combine drills, start something and forget about it or DISCOVER I really want to deepen my understanding on something I just started with.
PLAY, have fun, move freely, put on music that makes you FEEL.
Forget about HAVING TO and play with the idea of LISTENING to what your body whispers, or screams. 🗣
We're so focused on the goal we sometimes forget that the journey is just as important if not more than the end goal (unless you're competing or performing but that's a whole other story).
So at least for now, my new goal is LOVE THE PROCESS, grow and improve through motion and listening.
Try it out, it's really worth taking your eyes off the prize. Look inside and enjoy the ride 👁🛵🤘🏽
