HPL = High Pressure Laminate is considered to be one of the most durable decorative surface materials. HPLs are made from a number of layers of paper, although it’s slightly different from the paper we use every day. This EUC-X1 @enyamusicofficial uses the same material as what is found in @martinguitar HPL laminates. It's durable and considerably cheaper, which allows the price point to be more affordable for the consumer. If you live somewhere where the environment despises musical instruments, this may be the perfect instrument for you. An instrument made with HPLs will decrease the likelihood of it being damaged in extremely dry/humid environments. I purchased my Martin DX1 10 years ago. It has HPL back/sides, and a solid top made of spruce. I adore it!
