The unbeatable past.
So, here I found a picture of this oldie which introduced a new segment of entry level performance street play. So in 2008, dreams of very few, a small class of people were finally coming to reality. The introduction of a new powerful motor into an old redefined frame, which was in the very existence since the 2000's. A 220 cc engine with a torque of 18 nm and powered with 21 brake horse power.
Yes, it was the Pulsar 220 cc version which flared fire in the minds and hearts of gasoline lovers. It was like a dream coming to reality. After all, the only fastest pulsar was its predecessor which gave a bit less power and the engines were less refined i.e 180 cc.
It was introduced as a sport tourer with a half sports flare and since, maintained its originality to its peak. Though a lot of powerful motors have come into production ever since but only a few knew that a legend was being created which would engrave its name into the world of indian bikes which could in a real sense, give an adrenaline rush to one's soul. And the day I put my hands on this beauty i realised, it is very true, "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul". Since it was the first Indian sports utility motor bike how can one not stop adoring it.
The Legend is here and still into production. Though less powered than the other bikes which are commonly seen on indian streets, it still gives goosebumps when it grunts and roars when taken to high rmp and one can recall the history or as I would like to say, the introduction of a good fast bike for the Indian streets, manufactured by an Indian.
