Наши друзья в этом году решили покорить великую гору Эльбрус. Самая высокая горная вершина России и Европы (5642 метра над уровнем моря). 16 апреля в Рязани был совершен тренировочный полёт. По плану должны были подняться на высоту 7000 м для проверки кислородного оборудования с продолжительностью полёта 3-4 часа. Выехав в поле, ребята узнали про проходящие тренировки к параду победы, в связи с этим их попросили остаться на земле до 11 часов. Воздушный шар летает 3 часа после восхода солнца и 3 часа до заката. Термические потоки мешают выполнять безопасные полёты в течение дня. Перелёт через Эльбрус подразумевает под собой длительный перелёт с последующей посадкой в дневное время. Большую часть полёта планировали провести на высоте 5000 м, где нет термической активности (она до 3000 м), а приземлиться около 17. Старт произвели в 12:20. Из-за репетиции парада победы удалось подняться только на высоту 1500 м.
