Fitting a shoe with pad. This horse has very flat soles and shelly hoof walls - a mix that leads to sore feet and bruising, as the hoof wall is breaking off instead of supporting the horse, so the sole (which is already too low) is feeling every little pebble he steps on. We're keeping him comfortable at the moment, with the goal of removing the pads (and, hopefully, shoes) once he has some better hoof under him and the bruises have grown out. The owner is going to try a hoof supplement to get some growth going quickly. What are your favorite hoof supplements that you've seen great results from?
