#TiedtotheSky (We went on a spontaneous short trip to the Swiss alps ⛰ 🖤and I didn’t have internet so I’m playing catch up) Challenge Day 2: Most Challenging Move- 🤔 what to choose out of the many things that I can’t do?!?! 😜
Since I don’t have any dance or gymnastics background, I find dynamic movements where a certain rhythm is needed really really difficult, that and things where you need courage to let go and then possibly regrab/reorient your body- well maybe let’s just categorize them as ‘dynamic timing movements’? .
Some of it is a lack of courage, and some of it is just I don’t know exactly when I’m supposed to do what. So here in this video, 3 skills that could all vie for most challenging, and not in this video, 50+ other moves that could also qualify as most challenging. 🤣😂 I think one of the really great things about aerial though, is that there are so many moves- strength, flexibility, dynamic, drops, flows, spins, that even if some stuff doesn’t work it’s not too disheartening because there are always other pretty things that DO, and it makes it that much sweeter when some time goes by and then you get that move that before you just failed so miserably at. Before I could never do straight leg rolls in the hoop, and then recently I retried it and found that I could do them. 💪 There are good days and bad, and aerial helps me not take myself too seriously, and also teaches patience while giving small rewards every time you get on the apparatus. I always leave feeling better. .
