It’s zero waste week! ( from 3rd till 7th of September, look up www.zerowasteweek.co.uk )
So while all the rest of you on Instagram are all like “Hello September 🙂, it’s a another lovely month”, my body is more like “yes, it’s been another 28 days since your suffering and I’ll punish you for not impregnanating yourself” cause if you went to biology classes when you were younger, you would have learnt that female body is dying for you to fall pregnant ever since your first period started and every cycle when you don’t it punishes you with a full on bloody flow and cramps. After the bloody mess your body is full of hope for the next 28 days expecting pregnancy again and so the cycle repeats. Female body wants to be pregnant every month 😒 so greedy and selfish!
Anyhow, I was gonna tell you that periods can be zero waste too with lots of companies now offering reusable sanitary pads, menstrual cups and reusable tampons so it’s up to you to experiment and see what works.
Not gonna lie, I found the idea of reusable pads strange and a bit unpleasant first but now that I’ve done it for handful of months I cannot go back to plastic coated usual pads with added perfume smell and chemicals.
So why don’t you get one to try it out? 😉
I started with just one and then when I realised that I can do it, I stocked up. You can even make your own afterwards. ✂️
