take INITIATIVE & invest in CHANGE
Every day, our The Caux Scholars Program alumni work to understand and resolve conflicts in their communities by fostering inclusive societies, engaging in inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue, and facilitating reconciliation.
After a quarter century of CSP, Initiatives of Change USA celebrates our 575 scholars around the US and across the globe. From classrooms to halls of government, from financial institutions to fields of mediation, our alumni are offering principled leadership and transforming their communities. "CSP taught me that the peacebuilding work to be done in the US begins with the principles of empathy, honesty, and trust, and it requires not just community leaders and politicians, but everyone to be willing to engage and to be engaged in dialogue that challenges their beliefs." -Katy Pentz, US, 2016 Caux Scholar
In light of the realities across the U.S. and around the world, we ask you to reflect on the role that CSP plays in the lives of future leaders. IofC's ideas of personal change, reconciliation, and non-violent resolution of personal and communal conflicts are needed now more than ever. How can we spread a message of hope to young people who are trapped in seemingly intractable conflicts? How do we encourage and help them to do the right thing instead of the easy thing? Since 1993, CSP has shown us that young people wish to make a positive change in their communities, whether in Colombia or Sudan; Kyiv or Chicago. They simply need an opportunity, the tools, moral support, and seed money. We need your financial support to continue empowering them.
