👍 The handstand on the left is not a “bad” Handstand, it’s good but requires some small adjustments to become completely straight.

❗️On the left my shoulders are slightly closed, arched back and my head is sticking out. This is some pretty common mistakes when training the Handstand.
-
✅ This can be fixed by pulling our head in, and looking at the hands. Pushing back the shoulder to an open position (unless flexibility is the issue) and rotating the pelvis to a position of posterior pelvic tilt!

Every now and again I get to this place. The place where I really want to climb under a rock for awhile. Missing my daily outdoor runs and beach days.
Lately I’ve just been feeling like I have given soooo much energy into everything that I’m almost run down. I had a hot stone massage today and while it felt wonderful and I loved every second, I’m still feeling just blah. I have a tendency to fill my plate with too much. I’m bad at communicating when I need help. And now Im here.
Tonight I did week 13 back and arms and upped my weight for lateral raise to 17.5lbs which made me incredible happy. It was proof that progress is happening because I stay dedicated when Im not motivated.
Girls I’m still guilty of walking past the mirror and looking for some sort of physical change way too often. I made it through day 3 making balanced choices to support my workouts. My body feels really good but my mind is elsewhere.
I’ll take all the positive vibes and prayers to help reset my mind and calm my soul❤️

Hubby got me a new toy! 💪🏋️‍♀️42kg of it 🏋️‍♀️💪 Knee was ok today during a more easy going amrap work out. I'm avoiding any movements that have extreme flexion of the knee like quad stretches, butt kicks and going beginner for my squats and lunges.

With the upcoming release of my very own The PFD Way 8 Week Transformation Program, I wanted to test every session and all nutrition guidelines involved to make sure the program delivered what I believe my clients would need. I have done this all while still running my PT studio, travelling, playing sport on weekends and having my son 50% of the time.
I also want you guys to know that I could of been a lot more strict on my nutrition, so over the next 8 weeks including Xmas that's what I'll be focusing on. I will also now go into my 8 week sports program to make sure I'm ready to go for next winter 😉

Momentum is your enemy and you have to do things in the gym to mitigate it. When you train with weights, select a load for each exercise that will allow you to execute the exercise with not only good form, but good pace/tempo/cadence. Slow and controlled is the way to go. Do not worry about counting off a cadence or getting too analytical with that. That’s not to say that you can’t slow down your reps if you feel yourself starting to cheat with the help of momentum however. Self-awareness like this in the gym is something that all the top athletes have, I assure you. I always tell my clients to control the weight and to not let the weight control them. You need to make sure you feel the tension in the muscle throughout the exercise. .

I felt weak today and unprogressive so this is for me mainly. I now can hold a little tiny, insy toe tap not from a press or anything, but a little bit of hang time there. I also could not do a flying crow with extended arms and now it's fairly easy to get into. We start somewhere, but it's not were we start, but how we continue to keep reaching, because we never really finish.

I want to feel better in my own skin but...I can’t because xyz.
I CAN do this. I CAN do anything I set my mind to. I am STRONG and I am CAPABLE.
