#Controversy ahead! I know I'm not the only mom with a #pickyeater. I made a nice dinner of #gardein mandarin orange crispy chicken, brown rice with steamed asparagus, carrots, and edamame. She was revolted and refused to even enter the kitchen to eat with us. She finally made her way in and I reminded her of the house rule "You don't have to eat it all, but I want you to at least try a bite of everything." She ended up eating all the chicken, her carrots, and a little of everything else. Then she pushed it away and said she wanted something else. Ha! I told her that's not gonna happen. "I'm gonna make buttered toast myself." (With arms crossed.) "If you can make it all by yourself then you can have your buttered toast." And she did it. All by herself. I only helped by asking her what the next step was. And yes, she even used the toaster oven without assistance and didn't hurt herself. It's nice the buttons have pictures, including one for toast. Look how proud she is. She said, "I'm gonna make buttered toast myself EVERY day."
