Ginger aids in #digestion because it contains a powerful digestive enzyme called Zingibain. Bf approved miso tahini baked fries 🍟 still my go to and I've been pre making them and freezing them lately! An intention of mine is work on my cooking skills. I love to cook but I want to get to the point where it's instinctual and I can be all Emeril BAM'ing it in the kitchen. I made this cashew 'cheese' sauce made with sweet potato yesterday with my stepdad (who I'm learning from!) and I have to say, it came out pretty well💛 I put the ingredients up on my story. This is us💕...if you saw on my stories last night, Capri and I were making her favorite oatmeal raisin cookies.🍪
There are not enough words to describe how much Capri loves to help in the kitchen, and I love it just as much. (However I need to dial up the patience, lol)!
But baking with a toddler can yield the most “interesting” experience...here’s a recap of last nights baking shenanigans:
•as I was adding ingredients, she was scooping them out of the bowl
•she dropped my favorite spoon (in this picture), onto the granite then fell to floor and broke. •she dumped a huge amount of cinnamon into the bowl (the cookies are spicy as she calls them)
•she then was stirring everything so quickly that most the dry ingredients ended up on counter. Lol.! •end result— a mess, lots of laughs, and me just surrendering to the less than perfect cookie. Buy the joy in her giggle and on her face made it all worth while.

When they turn out, these cookies are so yummy, and nutritious!

Capri’s Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
Ingredients
1 tbsp ground flax seed
1 cup oat flour
1 cup rolled oats
2 tsp cinammon
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt

Wet ingredients
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1 tbsp apple sauce
1 tsp vanilla

Directions
1. Mix 1 tbsp ground flax with 3 tbsp water. Let gel for 5 min.
2. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl
3. Mix wet ingredients in separate bowl- add flax egg.
4. Add wet to dry. Add 1/2 raisins (or chocolate chips)
5. Form into balls and flatten with fork.
6. Bake at 350 for 12-14 min.

Dinner time! While I was out picking up last minute items for our Thanksgiving feast- I spotted this wild salmon! 😍

Oven baked salmon (400F for 15 minutes- I like mine a little undercooked) with avocado oil, lemon juice, and Paul Prudhomme seafood magic seasoning. Oven roasted Brussels sprouts (400F for 40 minutes) w/ avocado oil and sea salt. Pan seared broccolini (medium-high heat for about 10 minutes) in ghee and sea salt. 💯 #sabrinafitnessandnutrition

Squash Scenes 💛 Beautiful rings of roasted delicata squash taking centre stage for dinner tonight 🤤.

I have a thing for mugs, and specifically, I have a serious thing for Starbucks mugs. I bought one last year that's blueish purple with mermaid detailing, and I use it almost every day (and never let anyone else use it).
