I am in love with history and had a wonderful time exploring Woodrow Wilson Hall at Monmouth University last night. It is hard to imagine the opulence and grandeur that was a day in the life of a former Woolworth Company executive and the Summer Whitehouse of President Woodrow Wilson. The craftsmanship is awe inspiring. I could close my eyes and imagine the parties and good times that were celebrated within these walls and in the gardens. _____________________ #newjerseyhistory#nationalhistoricregister #historicalvenue
The #MajesticDowntown isn't just a glamorous event space, we also have an Industrial Venue right below our Grand Hall! Formally used as the Boiler Room in the 1920s, this event space is raw and underground with original vaults.
It’s throw-back-Thursday, and for this weeks wedding we’re featuring what is now known as The Colorado Room, where we have a one of a kind Rocky Mountain Oil Painting. We were able to save and display one of the original murals and have it showcased in the mansion! If you have any pictures of past weddings or events at Parkside, share them with us! Photo taken:1999

The Gallery in the Grove is delighted to be showing the whimsical pottery of Brid Lachapelle. They would make an ideal gift this Christmas. “Brid Lachapelle was first introduced to wheel throwing in Calgary in the late '70's and has been hooked on clay ever since. She attended Lambton College Ceramics for a number of years and continued learning and evolving in Throwing and Handbuilding techniques. She now works out of her own home studio (Mudslide Pottery) where an element of whimsy sneaks into her creations!”
