Ok. Fiiine. Haha. Here's the DIY Kind Bar recipe 😂 Im laughing because it was a spur of the moment idea and so many of you asked for the recipe. It started with me holding a box of Kind bars at our tiny local grocery store (ok, like 5 boxes cause we go through them like they're crack) and adding up the cost in my head. I flipped the box over and looked at the ingredients and thought.. Shit.. I can make these! Also, I dont know about you, but the Kind Bars lately haven't been as good... They seem dry and lacking flavor. Alas, I wandered around the little grocery store, picked up what ingredients i thought would work and came home and made Chris help me make them on a random Thursday night. I mean, what else are we going to do in the middle of nowhere where our remodel is located?😂🏠 Enjoy!! You can buy as many or as little of each of the ingredients.. Depending on how many you want to make. Buying in bulk will save you money$
▪Glass or tin trays
▪Coconut Oil ▪Roasted, unsalted whole Almonds
▪Unsweetened Coconut shavings
▪Ghirardelli 60% semi sweet choc chips (I bought 2 bags)
▪Honey, or Agave ▪Rice Krispies
----Heat the chocolate chips slowly on the oven in a pan. -While the chocolate is melting, mix all your toppings together in honey and coconut oil (this step will help keep the bars from crumbling)
-Pour a thin layer of the chocolate on the bottom of your pan, spread evenly with spatula
-While chocolate is still hot, pour over your toppings mix evenly and gently press into the chocolate.
-Drizzle remaining chocolate over the top and add a sprinkle of sea salt, if desired.
-Put in oven at 300 degrees for 7 min.
- Take out and cool in fridge until hard.
-Cit into 1.5x 5 inch bars.. Or whatever shape your heart desires. Pack for work snacks, road trips, treats... Whatever!! Tag me if you make them.. I want to see!!😍😍👋❤
