I want all the art pieces in Inaya’s room to tell a story. So choosing prints is taking a lot longer than expected. How many of you are struggling with gallery walls?? I can’t be the only one 😭
As she grows, I want her to make it a habit to be grateful & positive so I chose the Queens of Jannah canvas🌸 "Which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?" The STORY: This painting was inspired by the four greatest women in Islam as mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH: Khadijah RA, Fatima RA, Asiya RA & Maryam RA.
The feminine tones and floral touches symbolize modesty and piety. The blue textured tracks symbolize the stages of life for these women. Drip effect represents the tears and struggles. The common themes in the lives of these great women was piety, trust, patience and gratitude. Their faith did not waiver during difficult times. They found true friendship with Allah SWT. This reminded me of the verse, “Which of the favours of your Lord, will you deny?”, Surah Rahman. Ar-Rahman originates from the word ar-rahm, which means the mother's womb. A child in the womb is taken care of in every possible way. A mother will do everything to protect her unborn child. Similarly, Allah loves us and takes care of us regardless of what we do. He’ll never abandon us so let’s trust him and show gratitude.
