Hermes released two board games-the game of goose, in the same collection this season. One is « Le Tour du Monde en 63 Cases »by Pierre Marrie I posted recently, and this is the another one, «Jeu de Soie » designed by Gianpaolo Pagni. The game of goose, in French, jeu de l’oie, was quite new to me. There’s a similar board game in my country but haven’t heard before that there was such a traditional board game in Europe. And I bet Hermes made a pun, am I right? Please visit H.Com and read “The Story Behind” of both Carrés. They will tell you different inspiration sources of both designers. In both Carrés, 63 squares are equally depicted, but each designer put an unique interpretation on the board game respectively and they accordingly look quite different, especially when tied.
This «Jeu de Soie » is my second one, and the top recommendation for me at my local Hermes boutique.
