The last Champagne poured on the Titanic at supper, the night it sunk. Henri Abelé, the third oldest Champagne House (est. 1757) is making some remarkable wines. The Le Sourire (Smile) de Reims 2008 and 2006 Rosé are incredibly complex Champagnes. This Rosé is limited to 2,000 bottles and spends 10 years on lees and 6 months on cork before release. Wonder if there’s any on the bottom of the sea we can salvage?
