My face when I realize I haven’t posted all weekend...
Even though I’m absent on the weekends, I do have a new blog post up about the many ways I use coconut oil in my beauty routine. Link in bio as always!
I find it hard to focus on posting when I’m involved in my actual, real life. Instagram isn’t my priority on the weekends. Yes, I have one of those outside of Instagram
This is a tough thing, because engagement definitely drops when you’re not active for 2-3 days. But it just genuinely doesn’t occur to me. It’s just not a priority. Weekends are when I spend quality time with my boyfriend, friends, or family. During the school year, I also spend my weekend nights bartending and don’t get home until about 4 am. And I’m somehow supposed to post perfectly curated pictures and good captions on Instagram on top of that? No ma’am!! I’ve read many articles about “batching” Instagram posts, but it just doesn’t really seem to work for me. It feels very unnatural to me to post my thoughts from a week ago. I want to tell you how I’m feeling and what I’m thinkin about TODAY •
I want to hear your thoughts. Is it really that big of a deal to not post on the weekend? And how do you balance your social media life with your real life? Where do you draw the line between your real life and a curated life on the internet? •
