Just finished a good sweat sesh on the treadmill😅 Just fasted cardio for me today and I’m off to class all day🤓
After going back and forth in my mind and talking to some of my clients I decided to bulk this fall/winter. I wanted to take a moment just to explain what bulking means to me because I believe everyone does it differently. Some people go for a lean bulk, some people count macros, some people lift differently, do different cardio, etc.
To me, my bulk means eating a little more, doing less cardio (since I haven’t made much time for it during my semester anyways), and changing my rep range. I don’t all out binge on food, or start eating process foods. I still eat the clean foods I normally do, but just more of them now. Eating more, or not being as strict also makes this holiday season a lot easier.
This past summer to cut up I kept my rep range from 15-20, with drop sets, supersets, trisets etc, anything to keep my body fat down. But for the fall/winter I’ll be sticking to lower rep ranges, anything from a 1 rep max to around 12 reps (maybe even 10) and possible super sets. This is the time of season I just love to see how much weight I can move around (with proper form😉). _
Also it is super important to mix up your workouts, reason being is that your body will get used to the same workouts, the same rep range, same circuits, etc. and you WILL plateau. Which is another reason why I love switching it up for the season.
Also I think it’s beautiful to see what my body can do and is made out of.
