So, when I was 20, I got into a pretty whacky car accident-It’s not often a 20yo passes out behind the wheel of a car Sunday morning at 11 with no outside forces involved. It was also Easter (Sorry mom and dad). As it turned out, my body was doing some funny stuff that I didn’t know about, and I’ve had to pay attention to things just a little different since then as a result. This picture makes me smile so much. It’s from 2012-probably a month after the accident. You can see the heart monitor I had to wear for two months that alerted my cardiologist of all the irregular stuff happening, and would beep every time my heart rate did specific changes (not fun while you’re sleeping). Despite having to live with that bizarre device strapped to my chest, this was one of the happiest months of my life. I don’t really think that has anything to do with the accident, but maybe that I appreciated my life a little extra for awhile.
Anyway, long story short:
Keep doing things that make you appreciate having this body to live in. It’s a pretty cool phenomenon.
P.s: peep dem paint pants, RIP 💀
