#Yogis4unity has started, and for day one, we're getting our inspiration from one of the practices of unity which is SERVING OTHERS.
Each one of us, human beings, is special. Yes. You have a gift, if not many. You have a purpose. Maybe you're a great cook. Or good at accounting. Maybe you can draw and paint. It's even possible that you may not even know yet what your gift is or that you haven't discovered it. If that's the case, it doesn't matter. You'll find it sooner or later.
However, as beautiful and unique your gifts may be. Guess what? They're actually not about you. Your purpose is not about you.
People need you. Some people don't have those beautiful gifts that you possess.
So, what do you do with all these wonderful gifts we're talking about?
You share them with other people by serving them. By serving others.
What's the use of having a special ability if you don't use it to help those who don't have it?
As we surrender ourselves in the service of others , we discover our own lives. Our own purpose. Our own happiness!
@goplantyourself gave us a lovely standing wide legged forward fold.
I present to you a variation of #anahatasana. The name of this pose is derived from the Sanskrit "anahata" that means "heart," and "asana," that we all know it means "pose."
Some people call it #heartchakrapose, and some of us call it #puppypose. This pose makes me think that I'm literally
offering something with my both hands!
Check in with @kikasanayogi later on today for his interpretation of day 2!
