Sharing a question I'm often asked, in hopes of inspiring your path to greater wellbeing.
Q: How do I continue to support my healing process after a ceremony?
A: Open yourself to practices that strengthen your auric field. Your aura is a series of energetic layers or subtle bodies that create an interconnected field of energy around the physical body. Most indigenous cultures believe that illness first begins due to a weakness in your aura. Here are some ideas to strengthen your aura based on my personal practices. Before beginning, hold a clear intention such as, "My intention for this practice is to strengthen my aura."

I don't pretend to know how to fix our government or save the world or keep people from glamorizing poison (alcohol) or stop white privilege or white supremacy or world violence. But I know that adding hate on top of hate doesn't equal love, or any kind of a solution.

I've been super affected and having lots of empathic pain from what's going on in our country right now. Not complaining, just reporting. And I know if I am, then you guys probably are. I've had to make SOS calls to my healers. And it helped me so much to come back to my center, to my own healing.

So that's what I can continue to offer to the world--my healing work. Because when we spend the time it takes to heal ourselves, we do our part to heal this hurting world.

I've opened up space over the next 2 weeks to offer a bunch of private 90minute distance healing sessions. They will contain reiki (fancy way to say energy healing), guided meditations, and deep soul work. A blend of holistic coaching and energy heart healing, both of which I am certified in. It may be a over a month already since I started my family on a plant based diet 🌱 though we've all taken to it very well, we have had some slip ups. I've found that the key is not to guilt ourselves when we indulge in meat or dairy or any other animal by product. After all that's all we've known our whole lives. Just like many other things in life, I don't mind taking it slow and gradually becoming a family that can confidently pick the tofu over the steak at a dinner party or be prepared with vegan snacks and meals when we visit family. For now, we're learning! .

A few benefits:
1. Ava's breathing and respiratory issues have significantly improved since we went vegan.
2. Her skin looks smoother and healthier. She would have heat rashes on her forehead, now I can tell when her body doesn't like certain foods like dairy and meat because she'll get a small rash or breakout when this is introduced to her system.
3. I'm listening to my body - my body reacts in the same way. Going plant based is helping with acne, the growth and strength of my hair and my overall mood and wellness. I have more energy, my skin is clearing up (not overnight) and I can tell when my body is purging or reacting to toxins and harmful foods.
4. I don't have a scale in my house but I do know that my clothes are starting to feel a little roomy πŸ™‹πŸ½
5. Ava actually looks plumper now than she did when we were eating meat! Meaning she's getting the right nutrients. Her body is also fighting sickness much better. When she would get sick before, it would take 3-4 weeks for her to recover because of her premature lungs. Now her body actively fights infections before she gets sick. Her temp may rise slightly, and she may be groggy for a few hours in the day but she hasn't actually gotten sick yet.
6. I'm learning so much about natural wellness. The earth is a natural pharmacy!

I drink warm ginger water before introducing foods to my body. What's the first thing you have upon rising?

Buddha bowl with edamame spaghetti, roasted beets, green beans, steamed broccoli, bean sprouts, carrots, radish, cherry tomato, avocado, and arugula microgreens. What are microgreens? They are the baby version of veggies we usually have. Things like arugula, cabbage, kale, daikon, radish, etc. They are packed with nutrients, and some contains 6 to 70 times the nutrients of their adult versions. Now that’s what I mean by β€œsmall but mighty!” They are loaded with flavour and nutrients, and different types of microgreensΒ contain different types of nutrients. For example, red cabbage microgreens contain the highest vitamin C, whereas green daikon radish microgreens contain the highest vitamin E. But don’tΒ confuse microgreens with sprouts. Sprouts are usually germinated in water and do not require soil and sunlight. The growth and harvesting process of the two have important safety implications. The consumption of sprouts do have a higher possibility of food borne illnesses.
