This right here is my handy dandy tongue scraper, and it’s quickly become my best friend every morning for a few solid months now, can’t live without it! 👄

#healthcoachtipsunday is about this important part of a healthy Ayurvedic morning routine, and why you should be doing it! (Side note: I’ll be dripping more and more tidbits about Ayurveda and its ancient healing wisdom as we go, and why it’s so important now more than ever.)✨ It’s nuts how invigorating it feels! Flossing and brushing our teeth isn’t enough, we also have to scrape off the bacteria from our tongue. 👅 It is now more widely known that the color of the film on the tongue is very telling as to the state of your internal health, and the benefits of tongue scraping are fascinating::
BENEFITS: It helps to remove bacteria, helps prevent reabsorption of toxins responsible for periodontal problems, reduces halitosis (bad breath), enhances taste, stimulates internal organs (important for proper digestion), and more. Removing the accumulation of toxins is key, so this is an easy and quick way to do so! 👌🏼
HOW to tongue scrape::
You hold each end of the scraper with each hand and start with the back of your tongue as far as you can go. Pull it firmly but gently forward and scrape off the gunk! Do it again and make sure to rinse each time you drag it with warm water, and start it again. I scrape about 10 times on all sides. Also, make sure you do it BEFORE you drink water or brush your teeth. You want to prevent reabsorption of the toxins and scrape beforehand. You’ll soon be fascinated watching the film and gunk slide right off. ✨

It’s recommended to use a stainless steel scraper, I got mine from @wholefoods but you can find them at most shops or online. I had used one years ago but noticed a huge positive improvement once I made the switch to stainless steel. So tell me, do you tongue scrape too? What have you noticed if so? YAY- Today is my last day on the @tylertolmantt colon cleanse!! I’m so impressed with myself for getting through it, I really thought I’d give up and not stick with it.

Yesterday was the worst day, a little headachey, and aches and pains in the legs(body was detoxing) I also did cooking for the week, so it was tough being in the kitchen cooking and not being able to eat anything.

My tummy was really bloated last night and hard(completely normal from what I read)
I ended up doing a few salt flushes(just salt in warm water and drink it) helps everything pass through easier. That really helped and I wish I started that earlier. It is also recommended to do animas, but I wasn’t keen on that 😳

I’ll do another flush when I get home tonight, tummy still a little hard. So more to still come out 😬

I’ve had energy through the whole process, and haven’t been hungry at all. It’s been more mind over matter to not eat for 4 days.
