I have no clue what this is. But it tasted good so I’ll share it! Brown rice, onions, tomatoes, and garlic sautéed in fresh mustard, apple cider vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. Spices were onion powder, turmeric, red and black pepper, ginger and garlic salt. Added in a few cherry tomatoes bc I love love love hot cherry tomatoes! The eggs are soft scrambled (idk is that real?) Anyways I scrambled them, and while they are still slightly raw I let them sit for a second off heat. This keeps them super duper fluffy! When you go to bed already dreaming the next morning’s smoothie bowl • 2 frozen bananas • 1/2 cup blueberries • 2 kale ice cubes
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Topped with a peach and flax seed 👌🏻

When purchasing cinnamon, ALWAYS look for Ceylon cinnamon! Do not use the basic cassia cinnamon that most grocers carry! It can be toxic!
Ceylon, on the other hand, has tons of health benefits.

I haven’t always been the best at this, but like the rest of us parents, it’s a learning process! .

But the “Monkey see Monkey do” theory has been spot on with every one of my kids. From little bitty trying on daddy work boots, dressing up in my heals. Saying the things we say, doing the things we do.

Including how we act and what what we say about ourselves and others. .
.
One of those things is how we/they see themselves. Self imagine starts at home! .

I remember when I heard one of my girls saying almost word for word, one of the negative things I said about my body, as she looked in the mirror! .
.
I wanted to cry! It just wasn’t true! .
.
The Lord showed me, my daughter as a little girl dressed up in my clothes and high heals looking in the mirror saying what I SAY!!! 😢🤭

.
When you get dressed to go out and say how big your thighs are, how you don’t like your nose, breasts, arms, voice, intellect whatever... your daughter hears that and so does your son. .
.
As your daughter matures and her body becomes fuller, she will grow to despise her curves just as she has heard you do so many times. .
.
And be careful with your boys. Do you really want to raise boys who have perfectionist expectations of women as they age? .
.
Speak to yourself the way you want them to speak to themselves! Treat your body as precious, unique and beautiful, worth being loved and valued just like you want them to!!! .

Because YOU ARE precious, UNIQUE, beautiful, smart, powerful and gifted... just like they are!!!

Over the weekend I tried a new cafe @goodtimesmilkbar and ordered the sardines which were amazing! 🙌🏼🤤Sardines are one of the highest sources of omega-3 fatty acids. These fats are referred to as ‘essential’ because our bodies cannot make them and therefore they need to be consumed as apart of our diet.
Research shows people who regularly consume oily fish 🐟 tend to have lower rates of heart disease and stroke. They help reduce ⬇️ inflammation in the body, they ⬇️ reduce the risk of blood clotting, lower triglycerides (an unhealthy fat in the blood), decrease blood pressure 📉, improve blood vessel function and delay the build-up of plaque in coronary arteries.

If you don't eat fish, it's important to maximise your intake of plant-based sources of omega-3. However, the type of omega-3 fatty acid found in plants is nowhere near as effective as the types found in fish. Therefore you might want to consider an omega-3 supplement derived from algae, which is actually where all marine-sourced omega-3 originates! 💁🏽‍♀️

We love cooking at home (and baking) because it’s nice to know exactly what is going in your food and how much of it! Also, we’re really picky so we’re able to change things as much as we like to fit our likings. ☺️
We like to have these super easy to make protein pancakes with either jam or maple syrup. If we’re feeling real wild, we might mix in blueberries or chocolate chips into the batter. 😂😋
