Here is the #veganrecipe:
2 cups plantbased milk
1 cup fine oats
1 tablespoon vegan protein powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
vanilla powder
1 teaspoon maca powder
cinnamon
In a saucepan boil the milk with the oats and chia seeds,...now cook it until combined and creamy,....then you can mix the other ingredients in and stir the mixture well,....you can put it in organic #coconutbowls from @coconut.cups.and.spoons ! Pregnant and feeling exhausted? Instead of reaching for the take away menu for dinner tonight, try our super simple yet nourishing recipe for a ‘Healthy Fried Rice’. Best thing is it will be ready in half the time it would have taken you to decide what to order from the menu! 🍽🤰🏼
Serves: 2
Ingredients
-1 cup brown rice
-1 tsp olive oil
-1 red onion, diced
-2 cups button mushrooms chopped
-2 carrots, diced
-½ broccoli head, chopped into small pieces
-1 cup frozen peas
-1 tbsp soy sauce
-1 tsp mixed herbs

Method
Cook rice according to instructions on packet.
Heat oil in a large fry pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook foe 1-2 minutes until softened.
Add mushrooms, carrot and broccoli. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until tender.
Add cooked rice to pan and stir to combine.
Add peas and mixed herbs and stir to combine.
Pour soy sauce over rice and stir.
Serve divided among bowls.

This low carb meal hits the spot with nutrients + colour + taste.
The less ingredients the better in my opinion.

You’ll just need one good pan. I use my cast iron which is quality made and sealed. Invest in quality cooking ware! —
Serves 2
Time 15-20 mins
556 Cals per meal
Protein 37 Carbs 21 Fat 31

👉🏼 Ingredients
• 250 grams - hanger steak or flat iron steak
• 1 tbsp coconut oil or avocado oil
• 1 red yellow green bell pepper
• 1 avocado
• 1 red onion
• Fajita spice mix or your own (cumin coriander smoked paprika garlic powder 1tsp each - mix)

Recipe
1. Prep everything ahead.
Slice everything the same thickness which keeps things easier to cook.
The thinner the sliced the faster cooking time. Aim for 0.5-1 Cm thickness. Meat slightly thicker at 1.5cm and cut against the grain 🔑.
2. Heat pan to med high.
3. Add 1/2 oil. Add the red onion and bell peppers, 1/2 the spices and cook down for 5 minutes till softened.
4. Remove the vegetables.
5. Add the steak and cook for 3 minutes until browned on outside.
6. Add the vegetables back.
7. Add remaining spices.
8. Mash avocado with some salt + Apple cider vinegar.
9. Season with salt and sprinkle some lime juice over the top to finish and fresh coriander or parsley for extra points.

Are you a smoothie drinker? You'll want to make sure you're adding these two things....
1. Protein
2. A source of healthy fats

The two macronutrients, protein and fat, set our bodies up for efficient fat burning 💥and optimal nutrient absorption.

When a meal contains protein and healthy fats, our appetite suppressing hormone is increased and our appetite stimulating hormone is reduced. Therefore we feel satisfied and full for at least 3-4 hours. Our insulin levels also stay low if the smoothie isn't also high in sugar - and fat burning takes place when insulin levels are low. So, together, these two macros work synergistically to decrease our appetites, support the loss of fat and allow us to maintain a healthy weight.

Healthy fats are also required for vitamin and mineral absorption 🥒🥦🍓, in particular - vitamin A, D, E and K. They’re simply not absorbed without fat! A lot of people are unaware of this.

So.... Make sure you're adding a serve of good quality protein powder (I love @welleco and @morlife_ ).
.
And, add a serve of healthy fats ie a small handful of nuts or 1 tbsp nut butter, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp flax seeds, 1 tbsp coconut oil, coconut yogurt or 1/2 an 🥑. Then, bulk it up with water or unsweetened almond milk, ice, and some low sugar fruits of veggies like greens, frozen cauliflower and berries🍓🍓🍓.
