It's going to be a busy one for me, so instead of flying by the seat of my pants like I did last week, I’m prepped and ready! When I’m prepping for the week, I always plan it out first. Pro tip: Keep it simple. Then write out the grocery list & stick to it! Set a few hours aside to get it all done. You’ll thank yourself later because you’ll save tons of time and $$.

📍Yo. If you're of the opinion that having six smaller meals throughout the day is superior for fat loss as opposed to three larger meals, you've been sold a lie perpetuated by the health and food industry.

📍This idea of having smaller meals was actually birthed by those in the gym who were trying to gain muscle through a 'bulking' phase.
.
📍In an effort to create an optimal environment for superior muscle gain, these individuals would increase their calories over maintenance to provide the body with the necessary nutrients to support maximum muscle growth.
.
📍Due to this large consumption of food, many struggled to get in all of their calories in just three meals, thus spreading it out over 6-8 smaller meals.
.
📍There is NO scientific-based research that supports the claim that six smaller meals produces better results for fat loss than three larger meals.
.
📍In my experience, for those with a habit of overeating at meal time, six smaller meals is just three more opportunities to overeat. And three more opportunities for the food industry to push more of their products onto you.
.
📍When it comes to fat loss, calorie intake is king.
.
📍And how you choose to divide up those calories on a daily basis is 100% personal preference.
.
📍When it comes to dieting, the only diet that will 'work' is the diet you can stick to.
.
🚫You don't need more rules from outside sources that want to manipulate you into buying their product; you simply need to create a plan that is sensible, realistic and effortless to maintain—FOREVER.

📍And that doesn't happen by eliminating entire food groups. Or the time of day in which to consume them.

Рецепт:
Куриные блинчики
КБЖУ на 100г: 140,4/19,1/4,6/25,86
Общий вес готового блюда: 586г
Ингредиенты:
✅куриное филе 380г
✅шампиньоны свежие 75г (можно без)
✅сыр 60г (у меня Ламбер)
✅молоко 0,5% 100мл
✅яйцо 1шт
✅кукурузный крахмал 20г (можно заменить мукой)
✅соль, перец и специи по вкусу (у меня сухой чеснок)
✅кокосовое масло для жарки (или другое масло)
Готовим:
Куриное филе и шампиньоны перемалываем в блендере. Добавляем яйцо, крахмал, соль, перец, специи, тертый сыр и молоко. Перемешиваем хорошенько. Раскаленную сковороду смазать маслом, убавить огонь. Выкладываем наши блинчики столовой ложкой и разравниваем. Жарим с двух сторон. Диаметр моей сковороды 14 см.
Готово ✅
Подавать можно с любым гарниром, но блюдо очень сытное и вполне может существовать самостоятельно, поэтому я просто подавала со сметаной.

Taco Salad 😍Instead of making tacos, I put all the taco toppings into a salad instead. This way I don't waste my calories on bread and instead get to eat more of the yummy toppings 😋 I loaded my taco salad with chicken, rice/ black beans, salsa, sautéed zucchini,pineapple,and sliced avocado 👍🏻Healthy is yummy 😃

To supplement or not to supplement? That is the question.

There is much debate around the topic of supplementation amongst healthcare providers. There is discussion around the quality of our soil and how the deprivation of nutrients may impact the nutrient density in our vegetables and fruits. Therefore many will recommend a high quality multivitamin to help cover the discrepancy. My two cents:
•Does everyone NEED a multivitamin? No.
•Does a healthy individual who consumes a diet rich in vegetables and fruits, quality protein from plant or animal sources (or both), healthy fats, and high fibre carbohydrates NEED a multivitamin? No.
•Should pregnant and breastfeeding women take a multivitamin to aid in ensuring they are getting the increased vitamin and mineral intake needed for mom and baby? Yes.
•Those with specific vitamin and mineral deficiencies such as iron or calcium should take specific supplements under the care and supervision of a healthcare provider who can monitor their blood work and determine when they achieve adequate blood levels.
•There is so much noise from the internet and those who believe they are health experts but lack the education when it comes to nutrition that it's important to take a step back and look at what is MOST important for you.

Bottom line - Supplements should NOT replace food. Do the work to increase the quality of your diet FIRST, and then go from there. It's a process.
