4️⃣ pan fried chicken in my homemade sriracha honey soy marinade

5️⃣ @minimalistbaker vegetarian "meat" balls with marinara sauce (not homemade)

6️⃣ snacks & dessert: grapefruit, peaches, @perfectbar and @sweetlorens place and bake chocolate chip cookies!

There is a large body of evidence showing that spot reduction is not real. Spot reduction is the idea that by you can lose fat in the area you are training, ex: Performing crunches to target fat loss in the abdominal area. Swipe left 👈

But, one study recently came out saying the opposite, that spot reduction is indeed real. What differed in the study to all the rest was the way they trained. They basically either trained legs followed by 30-min upper body cycling, or trained upper body followed by 30-min lower body cycling. Those who trained legs followed by the cardio modality lost significantly more fat in the lower body vs upper body. Likewise, those who trained upper body followed by cardio lost more upper body fat vs lower body.

This indicates that spot reduction could happen if we resistance train a body part we want to primarily target fat loss in, followed by cardio. For example, ab training followed by cardio. I think that even if this study were replicated over and over again showing its validity; it is still the minutiae, and one should not go out of their way to perform 30-min of cardio following training to try spot reduce fat. Especially since research has shown over and over again that a lot of cardio is detrimental to your gains. Our biggest concern in fat loss is sustaining a calorie deficit. If this is done, all of the fat, even in stubborn areas will eventually come off.

In saying that, if you are dieting, and already performing cardio say 2x a week for 30-min, then its worth a shot to do it after training legs, for example. If you wanted to potentially target fat in the lower body. Just information. We probably won’t know anything for a while so experiment with your body if you choose to, just don’t go out of your way to do too much cardio as that will do more harm than good. #strengthguide

Since I found the sous vide surf and turf sandwich on @iamafoodblog website I can't stop thinking about it!😋 So this weekend we grabbed some filet mignon and cod from @central_market and made this scrumptious meal.
This was my first time to use @anovaculinary sous vide machine, a gift from my father-in-law. The result totally BLEW MY MIND! 🙌💕🎶
The steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender that I didn't even need a steak knife (although it's a lean cut of meat). The cod was perfectly cooked to flaky.🍖🍷🍴

The only things I did differently were to add some dry sherry to the miso butter and replaced the lobster with cod. You gotta try it out because the dish is easy enough to cook on any evening, and the result is so AMAZING that I'd serve it for our anniversary!🎉🎉🎉

Complici delle meravigliose pesche noci dal colore imbarazzantemente bello mi sono messa d'impegno e tac, ho presentato il caro amico Tofu - che ormai è un ospite fisso della mia dispensa - a dell'ottimo zucchero integrale di canna e a della golosa nocciolata bio.
Ne è scaturito un dolce davvero originale, e sorprendentemente goloso. Una vera chicca ricarica-pile di cui no, non potrò mai essere sazia ☺

having recalculated my Calories/Macros I'm on a whopping 200g Carbs (this is more than double what I have had or used to for at least 2 years - minus hols of course😂) The best thing is my weight has stabilised & i have maintained this! I'm. also hopeful that the extra calories (fats in particular) will help sort my hormones out, these are all over the shop at the mo!
