These last few days I have been trying to poor from an empty cup... and it didn’t work.
I feel tired, run down, not motivated, etc.
I have decided to take a step back. If I feel tired, I’ll take a nap. If I need half an hour by myself, I’ll take a bath. It’s the little things that add up. It’s the little things that fill your cup.
Today was one of those days I needed some self care. I can’t run on empty, I can’t be a good mom, wife, or coach when I feel I have nothing to give.
So today I had a nap and a bath. And you know what I feel at the end of the day? Happy, refreshed and recharged (and probably a little less stinky, lol). I feel like my cup is full, at least more then at the beginning of the day. But my point is, take some time each day to practice self care.
Write in a journal, take a walk, read a book, have a nap, workout, get a pedicure. Do something to fill your cup, you won’t regret it. Your body and mind will thank you.
