CHOCOLATEY GOODNESS 🍫 Craving smoothie bowls because it's still ☀️🔥 in NYC (not complaining 🙃) I went to the beach yesterday and then did some furniture shopping with Nick #adulting. Looking forward to a nice relaxing Sunday! Here's the recipe for this chocolate smoothie bowl 💁🏻

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 a ripe refrigerated avocado
1/4 cup frozen cherries
2 scoops @alohamoment chocolate protein powder
1 Tbsp ground flax
Cinnamon
Ice
BLEND and top with @purely_elizabeth chocolate sea salt probiotic granola 🍫

This is the flattest my stomach has been in MONTHS! I struggle regularly with gastrointestinal issues, and have been battling a constant bloated looking belly. Finally, after a solid week of only cooking from home, and eating (extremely) clean...the bloat is slowly subsiding!

If you don’t eat less food than you’re currently eating, you will not lose body fat.

All methods of dieting and reducing body fat work on the fact that if you eat less food than you are eating now, you’ll be in a calorie deficit. And then you’ll lose the fat.

But don’t take my word for it…the best thing to do is to simply try it yourself. ⚠️
Why waste time and energy trying to convince others and argue about calories, diets, blah blah blah?

Why not just run an experiment on yourself and then make your decision?

Then you can definitively say that calories are not the main factor for fat loss.

I’ll give you one example of why calories are, in fact, the key to fat loss and then I’ll show you how you can run the experiment yourself. 🤐
What happens when people are ACTUALLY starving? For example, prisoners of war and poor people in 3rd world countries? Starving means their daily calories are 0. They’re not getting any food.

They shrivel into nothingness.

What happens when you have tons of calorie dense food and you eat thousands of calories a day?
⬇️
You turn into the typical American. 66% of our population is overweight or obese.
♦️
So anyways, do the experiment.

1. Download myfitnesspal. It’s the easiest way to track calories. For aggressive fat loss, multiply your bodyweight by 10. Example: a 180 pound person would eat 1800 calories. Do not adjust for activity. Just make sure you eat 1800 calories. A simple place to start for protein is 100 grams for women, and 150 grams for men. The remainder of your calories can be any combination of carbs and fats.
2. Track them honestly for 21 days. Everything that you eat or drink must be logged or you aren’t doing the experiment correctly. Yes, if you taste test, grab a nibble, nibble on some walnuts at work…those calories count.
3. Track your bodyweight in the mornings after you go to the bathroom. One of 3 things can happen: your weight can go down, go up, or stay the same.
4. NOW you can say calories do or don’t matter.
